Guava Kush Introduction
Our review for every product feels different, even if the process is seemingly the same. “I’m starting to see spaceships on Leaf Haus!” Although- this isn’t a sponsored article, I AM starting to feel like an Elyon. And you know what… It’s whatevs. The Elyon brand has consistently been strong both in quality and price! Cracking open a bag of these really satisfies the senses. But enough of that! Today’s one hit review will be on the Guava Kush. This eighth comes packed in Elyon’s chromatic red bag; labeled “Anytime” to represent their hybrid strains.
Presentation Review
First impressions on Elyon’s packaging can either be a pleasant or annoying experience. To save some time here, be sure to keep a pair of scissors handy for the initial unpacking. In case I haven’t mentioned this before, I’ve got a sweet tooth. Getting an initial whiff of this was so satisfying. Greeting me with the memories of shoving my face in a box of fruity pebbles. Once my senses get accustomed to the sweet aroma, it quickly shifts into a subtle gassy funk with a very faint guava undertone. A fitting name for the Kush lovers that enjoy sweets.
The Look
The nuggets are just as impressive. Coated in a healthy amount of trichomes, these buds looked healthy and fluffy. After a couple squeezes, some of the buds broke off the stem; however, they didn’t crumble under the pressure. If anything, it kind of felt like squishing a small wad of cotton. It was really springy!
Hold up, wait a minute, let me put some Kush up in it~ Looks pleasant grounded up in our flower mill. When rolling with it, it’s not too dry or powdery. The flower sticks together well enough that it’s not falling out the rolling papers. Good for our rollers. Time to put some fire to it and it’s off to the spaces! Ha, a little alien humor.
I’m sure you’re thinking, “But what’s under the hood?!” Well this particular batch comes in at a nice 29% THC. The two leading terps are just about neck and neck at 0.56% and 0.51% for the Limonene and Caryophoyllene respectively. A nice ballpark for the euphoric cruiser feeling. Our humulene terps are at 0.27% which means the munchies shouldn’t have us at the mercy of it.
The High
Alright. Inhale I’m getting a slightly sweet tint to it. I can feel my tongue beginning to tingle already. slow exhale. The earthiness that comes from the Kush makes its way to the palette. For myself, it felt like the high started in my shoulders, relieving the tension I’ve accumulated over the last couple of days. The tingle that I first felt in my tongue slowly spread out through the rest of my body.
It was as though I was melting into the bed like a warm marshmallow over a graham cracker. Most of the day’s stress left my body, cruising at a comfortable altitude to watch a few episodes of my favorite shows. I must say though, in true Kush fashion; the come down can be a little heavy. I found myself waking up from a well needed nap several hours later.
Can’t say I really felt the need to eat too much. This strain is good for a day off of just lounging around. Maybe a post shift smoke or something along those lines. I would really recommend it for those that have work to do.
The Conclusion
Guava Kush is a hybrid that’s great for unwinding. It’s not so buzzy that you feel too anxious for your thoughts nor is it too heavy that it’s a struggle to get off the couch. At least in the beginning. This strain sits beautifully right in the middle. If you’re ever in the area, consider picking one up here at Leaf Haus today. See what others are saying about this tantalizing strain
